Kelly Clarkson Performing on the NBC’s Tonight Show

Kelly Clarkson has had a lot of back-brushing or "teasing" done to the crown of her head.  Hair was then smoothed over leaving the results of a lot of height, possibly a French Twist which appears to have been applied with her longer top hair, leaving the shorter hair along the hairline to fall freely on her neck.
