The decades of the sixties and seventies brought young women to a realization that they didn’t have to cut and curl their hair, spending lots of time to get their look just right.  Their generation experienced primping over their hair as fun and stress free.  Besides regular shampooing and conditioning, all that may have been used was a clothes iron to straighten and smooth their tresses.  The favorite pastime for shine was to simply brush and brush.  This has set the trend for long, straight hair today.   In April, Mrs. Russia took us back in time with her hairstyle as she graced the stage for the Miss World competition.

At a co-performance on July 14th, 2006 at Madison Square Garden, Carrie Underwood exhibited her star quality.  And how lovely she was that night.

Alright, so it’s not real hair.  Yet it is worthy of a hairstyle as it is being worn on the head; no less credible than a wig.  Besides anytime a person is brave enough to walk in public wearing hair like this fellow, he should be granted a spotlight, not that he needs one!  It certainly has our attention here on Freaky Friday.

Christian Serratos

The premiere on July 25th was "John Tucker Must Die".  To quote an old saying, Christian Serratos has hair ‘to die for’.  With volumes of curls that look much like the ’60’s into the ’70’s when the tamed manes were all being worn by country music singers and actresses then, Christian has gorgeous brunette waves and curls.  One important difference in the two decades would be here, Christians’s hair is worn heavy on top with an extreme part.   About forty years ago, the fashion was bouffant big.
