It seems to work pretty well. Otherwise like Michelle said there is the Thermasilk she was talking about for someone maybe older. But they definitely make specific products for kids.

Oh Shorty! I didn't even think of Johnson and Johnson's. I had those kinds of detanglers when I was little. And boy did I need them. I had super long hair that was always tangled.
