If you just want your face framed with layering, then tell them so. Tell them only in the front to "frame your face". The perm idea is if you get layering all over and feel it just lays there.
I wanted to post the tips on even perming for anyone who has had a perm that turned out uneven. Sometimes, it is neglect or a rush job that causes uneven results as you can see from what I advised previously.

Oh. LOL! I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. That hardly EVER happens you know.
I thought those were general perm instructions. I don't want any more layering than I already have. I'm pretty happy with my cut even though it's not really a style. I have pretty nondescript do-nothing hair. I just want it big. That, of course, only applies to the days I actually want to do anything to it at all. You know how that is.
