To all of you looking for a bargain when you buy your hairsprays, look for a product that states it is touchable/brushable, etc. Hairsprays that coat the outer layers with stiffening spray only help to damage it. We can have hold and still be able to touch our hair.

As for your Big, ***y Hair there pigtails, here are a few things I hope helps.
Am not sure what exactly your style is or how long your hair is. However, I have found for volume, self sticking velcro rollers in dry hair with the "root" area sprayed with hairspray helps for work on building up the "foundation". (I'd like to back up and stress product along the scalp area anyway for that all imporant base build-up) Make sure all curls are cooled completely before styling curled hair.

Once you start styling your hair, concentrate your hair spraying on the scalp area hair. If you want your hair to stand up or out, that foundation needs to be strong. Spray in small areas and the stiffness should not build up as it would if you kept spraying and spraying. Yet, the spray will be there to do its job.

Keep experimenting to find what's best for your own unique hair and Good Luck! Let us know how it's coming along.
I like what you told pigtails, Toni. I think it applies to me too. LOL! So don't use as much hairspray, use hairspray wisely?
