Hey rockymt21 !!! Welcome!

I couldn't get the pic link to work for some reason. However, I am very familiar with the "moptop" look so I get the idea.

You want fullness in your hair I take it, the kind that resembles thick hair. I find that gel applied on hair closest to scalp and then turn your head upside down and blow it dry works well for this. Let it cool COMPLETELY before you touch it, especially comb it. Then apply some hair wax to your ends. This is sold in any department store and definitely found (the better ones : ) in a salon or beauty supply store. My fav is Paul Mitchell in a tube, though I also like the spray on ones.

Squeeze out about a dime to nickel amount of wax in your palm, then rub palms together. Again turning your head upside down so you only "wax up" the ends apply to all, including the back! Let dry a little, then start pulling your ends up into that slight flip. This will take practice and you will notice that your hair will start to take this shape.

As for getting your hair thicker with a product. There are shampoos out there that claim this and I really need to research some of the new ones out in the salon supply. Used to be, these products were BAD for your hair.

Do read this about growth and care from another post, "Hair Product Reviews". Post was started here so I replied in same.

It's the post that has this Title "PROTECT YOUR HAIR FOR HEALTHY GROWTH" posted by moi. You have to scroll through to find it, OR you can read the entire thread if you like.

Hope I've helped! Good luck growing out your hair. It does take patience, so hang in there!!!
