Hi,
Glad you like the effect of the straightening comb.
And after using it and reading the instructions, I suppose by now, you know you shouldn't touch your scalp directly with it. That would hurt! LOL
I would get a "heat protectant". You spray it on your wet or dry hair before using any heat and it helps the ends. Yes of course, the conditioner helps seal in the natural moisture too that can be lost due to heat (and other things). Leave in conditioners (kind that do not get rinsed out) can burn and smoke with heat and that's not a good idea for those using heated appliances.
As for a styling product. Try a little hair wax or hair putty. Look in the store for the different brands. Yes, I like the Garnier products, but surely there is something you can find. It's all a matter of trying what works best for your hair. To save money, I really like advising you check with your stylist and inquire about salon products. In the long run, you save money as these products are used SPARINGLY (remember that!) and you get to buy just the right product the first time instead of buying a lot of trial and error stuff.
Have fun with that comb, just don't have it on your head longer than necessary. AND definitely protect with heat protectant!!!!!
