To reply to the last post....it's all about the pH balance in shampoo. It has to be neutral (7.0) not too alkaline and not too acidic, though some shampoos have unique formulas adjusted to higher or lower on the pH scale.

Most shampoos have a detergent in them. They have to be mild as to not strip out natural oils.

I will post soon more details on acid, alkaline and sodium lauryl sulfate so keep checking and look for these things listed in the subject title. The one thing I can agree on is that most shampoos, and as I already said below, most products also has the the S L S.
