Hello hazz,

Forgive me, yet I had forgotten what YOUR hair looked like. I went back and found a couple of posts where you linked to your pics. One post featuring pics on photobicket.com had deleted pics, however there was another post that I found your pics.

You can experience a little lift with highlights. However, you may have fine hair, yet your hair is pretty much lifeless...limp as they say, like fine hair can be. I know...I have fine hair myself. Color fills my hair out some, adding a combination of a little mousse and gel to DAMP hair just before blow drying and brushing my hair in opposite direction as I dry or upside down helps give some lift. So does razor cuts into no particular layers so my hair doesn't blend and it helps it "stack" better. Then I put wax on the ends to thicken them and give them build. All these things really help us to have thicker looking hair. Even though your hair may never look quite as dense as Mitch Hewer's, all these things will make it close. It's all about dirtying up our hair with product (yet it's still bascially clean). I think you can relate when I say, it's better for our hair to be on the verge of being dirty then when it's first shampooed. Fresh clean (fine) hair is always flat, flyaway and way too silky to do anything! We really have to build it up to get it into a workable style.

Good luck!!! And TAKE that picture with you to the salon..tell them you want color first, then cut it with a razor (make sure the stylist knows how to work one!!) and do texture layering.
