Without actually seeing you myself, I cannot make an accurate assessment. However, based on the face shape you described, I don't think this style would be in your best interest. The spiked, centered fringe you describe would do nothing to hide a wide forehead. (which is sounds like you describe). And if your forehead is also high (tall), the spikes would only make that worse.

I am just guessing, however, I would imagine you need a style that's long and hangs around the neck to fill it out, widening your chin area. Also it should have long fringe to hide your forehead, or at least long layers to cover the sides of your forehead and disguise that wide part you describe.
