Yes these styles do suit your face. And you're right, you will need to grow it out before any change will happen since at this length, this is all you can do except for slicking it down which you probably don't want to do!
I can't tell from the picture and I don't want to assume anything. Is your hair very straight, somewhat straight with a little wave, curly or very curly?
