I am referring to all your haircuts now will be a trim because there isn't much needing to be cut off, just needs to be cut in this precise way. "until it grows out in the back" means until your layers grow out a little more. With longer layers, you will be able to blow it dry blowing it towards the front to get that sticking out look. You might need product to help it stay...like hairwax. You would only need a teeny, tiny bit on the ends. When you first dry it and fix it, the hair may stick straight off, but will quickly fall because of gravity to look just like this guy's.
Your hair is almost long enough to get "trimmed" into this style.
