Hey again strawberryblond,

NO, not a stupid question. I can write something and think it makes sense. Yet now that you brought this to my attention, I see that I could have explained it better. Thank you for pointing this out to me!

Yes. I mean using the biggest rollers the set has, start rolling the hair towards the back of the head. And the rest of the hair roll under...not down. That was stupid to say. LOL When we roll our hair under, it can flip up or down. However, when we roll it up, all it wants to do is flip up. I like to roll under cause it helps with the volume and lift off the scalp.

You COULD use the iron, however, it wouldn't have that volume and lift. There's something about having that heat stay for a while on the hair and the way the rollers lift off the head using the heat to change the hair structure. You actually would get different results as the heat and curl gets concentrated only on the ends, where the set is for getting lift off the scalp.

If you don't have the set of rollers, maybe you can borrow them from a friend or relative OR, your salon should have some and they could set it for you next time you visit them. I personally like the roller set myself. You can shampoo the night before, then when you get up next morning, plug in rollers and do a little of your morning ritual. When they are hot and ready, set your hair and finish getting ready while they cool. The last thing you do is take rollers out and comb into place. It's like comparing the time it takes you to stand there and curl your hair all over with an iron to the 90 seconds (probably less) it takes you to roll your hair. You actually save a lot of time.
