I have never had to do this on my children (yet), but I had to do this with my niece (years and years ago) and I wish I new about this sooner, because we ended up having to get her hair cut.

I have always been told about things like peanut butter, vegetable oil, butter, mayonaise etc.... greasy things. Well maybe I don't do it properly, or don't have the patience to wait for it too work, but it never worked for me.

I recently discovered-RUBBING ALCOHOL! I have used it to get gum out of clothes and carpets, works fast and works great! So why not hair!!

I have also used it for getting silly putty out of clothes too.
