![]() Ok I have just watched the 60 minutes interviews and i have to say -every time I see this woman it is a hair don't. She looks like she is trying to be Nancy Reagan. I know she is Secretary of State but must it look like this ? I think her forhead loos too broad. Has she ever had relaxed hair? |

I think she looks nice and elegant. She always does. She looks put together and professional. I don't get a Nancy Reagan hair vibe at all. But we all see something different in the celebrities.

How old is she? She is a Republican and carrying the image of republican women into the new millenium.
I think what I can't get used to is that she does not look like 95% of the black women i have ever seen in my life. But that doesn't mean she is a good Secretary of State. I am not sure everyone agrees about that. |

Streetcred,
I think this forum should stay about hair talk not politics. Let's continue to talk about Condoleeza's hair.

I understand what you mean streetcred. Because she is a leading American leader and a woman, and also a member of the Republican party, her image would be conservative anyway.
Maybe she will "let go" and change it when she is out of office.??? |

I too have wondered about Secretary Rice's hairstyle. I feel it is not flattering to her at all. Her hair is relaxed and is always conservatively placed with 'not one hair out of place'. While we would love to see her find her perfect style and carry that off daily, I am guessing that Ms. Rice prefers for the focus to be on her professional ethics and not on any glitz or glamour. I would imagine she wants to be taken seriously and maybe she shys away from any makeover for fear that she will turn out with an image she does not wish to portray. And certainly her critics would make a mockery of this. Do we want a well respected Secretary of State or one that has days and weeks of tabloid coverage discussing her hair and makeup? So while I would love to see an improved change in this woman of position to a well deserved look that could still remain conservative, I must say I respect her keeping her attention to the country's needs and not on her day to day primping. This is what I feel is her priority and you have to admire her for this.

Her hairstyle certainly is a contrast to Madeline Albright's.
About Condi's conservative look...it matches her conservative, business-like demeanor...also her roots in academia.
