His haircut is following a basic guy's cut of longer on top, shorter on sides (and probably the back). The top having 2-2 1/2 inches length appears to be texture cut or "point" cut. Use fiber gum or other texture product or gel to help keep the messy 'bedhead' look. These can be bought over the counter like Fructis or John Frieda. You literally take your fingers and muss it up and the particular cut helps it to stay.
Take pic to your barber or stylist to help you better comunicate this look exactly. They would have professional products to recommend. Many are worth the find.
