Default Sharon Stone

I LOVE the way Sharon Stone's hair was styled by Rod Ortega for the Scandinavian Style Mansion party in 12/07. I got the cut but can't get the styling right. (I have a top-notch hair straightener but don't know how to use it to get the soft look that she has. Every time I try, I get the short pieces lying straight rather than softly flowing back.)

Can anyone help me with detailed instructions on how to get her terrific look?

Thanks!

Kelly

Hiya Kelly.

Welcome and thanks for your great question.

Are your sides sticking out? or are they just flat?

I don't know your hair type, yet I do know that Sharon has baby fine hair that is rather thin in density. Using a root lifter is probably the first essential step in her hair routine to keep it from clinging to her scalp. Those with density would probably say, "what lift off her scalp?", as only those with fine, limp hair would understand what many gals with thick hair take for granted.

And do you have a straightener that has a rounded back frame to hold the plates? Like this?

This is used in a manner as a curling iron, however, it will help you give direction to your hair as you straighten it, such as directing it back or under to help give a little lift or softening.

As opposed to this one

Please let me know if you are able to borrow or try one like this first straightener and how you liked the difference it made for your hair. Everyone has different hair types with each getting different results depending mainly on hair's strength and capability to hold a curl or straightening. I'm always interested in the different results as you tell me what kind of hair you have and how it responded.

Thanks! and best of luck!!!!
