Professional dying - worth it?

My Mom has always dyed her hair at home. She has never had any problems. She actually does a pretty good job of it. I've tried it at home and it was an utter mess. I had to go into the salon and have them "fix it". How embarassing!!

Well, judging from my own experiences trying to dye my hair, I would say that professional dying is probably worth it. My hair color is messed up bad right now because I tried to do it myself.
