Jet Black hair

I was talking to my hair stylist about dying my hair jet black and she told me that jet black hair only look good on Asian women. My hair is dark brown and she thought that I should go lighter instead of darker. Is there anyone with lighter hair that dyed their black? Also, my friend was telling me that I should be careful about the color that I pick because my hair can come out a blue, black.

My hair is brown and I've dyed it black before. I use like an off black color then dyed it red.

Black hair is the darkest and most common color of human hair. Black hair is found in people of all backgrounds and ethnicities. Black hair comes in a variety of textures. I have dark brown hair and have been dying mine jet black for years (I'm not Asian). I have been debating about going back to a lighter shade but think the darkness of the black is a good look for me. I used Feria in either Black Leather or Starry Night (this one is blue black)
