Default Temporary hair color

Herbal natural instincts is a great temp color it you just want to spruce up your color. It covers grey and doesnt look fake, and it you don't like it, it will wash out in 8 to 10 washes. Clairol has many differnent kinds of color and this one is one of my favorites.

Temprorary hair dye is great. I used to use these kinds of dyes when I was younger and my mom didn't want me to do anything permanent to my hair. I think they're great today if you don't know what color you want. Stefanie, you should try these, they might help you find your right color!

I would agree except that if you are going to go through the process of coloring your hair why not do permanent? You are just starting the clock on upkeep if the color is washing out as of the first rinse.

Hello Clubcory!!
I've been seeing your posts and wanted to wish you WELCOME.

I think what zombie was suggesting to Stefanie was to try on different colors to see which one she liked. Stefanie had shared she wanted a change and couldn't decide on a color she'd like for herself.

And it's true that temporary colors do shampoo out the next time or two you do so. However, we have to shampoo anyway right? And this is like "trying on" haircolor, something we girls love to do with clothes, so why not have fun with it. Once you find the color you like, then you go permanent. It's much healthier for you hair than trying to strip away permanent hair color here and there.

I have naturally red hair so I am afraid of dying my hair and never getting back to my natural color. I am so excited, I never knew that they had a dye that comes out that fast. It is a perfect product for someone like me that doesn't want something so permanent. I think I will check it out when I head to the grocery store this evening.

I think I will try it! I want to go a littler deeper brown-red (darker) and it good to know that these colors don't last too long in case I don't like it. Sounds like if you get some on your counter top of accidently the floor that will wash out too! That is the one thing I hate about hair color!

Default Temporary color is not a rich color

I just wanted to let you all know that these temporary colors are not going to be the deep, rich color of semi-permanent (which also washes out just takes about 6 weeks to do so) and permanent, which of course, does not wash out at all. These temporary colors are watered down types of color. They do give you an idea of what your hair can change into. They work better on your hair if it is porous too.

Some of you may want to go onto the semi-permanent hair colors. Just make sure your stylist knows that you are only interested in the colors that fade over time and eventually washes out in weeks.
SEMI-permanent color

Temporary color is great. If you are not sure if you want a certain color, it is a great way to try it before you commit. I also like to use it at Halloween when I need black hair. It's much easier than trying touse those spray in colors.

Bedhead I think you hit the nail on the head. No pun intended.
Hallowwen is a great time to try on a new head of hair or color and run around and meet people. See what they think.

I have long blond hair and I am going to try an auburn red glossy pageboy wig and see what happens.

I think temporary colors are great for people who are not sure if they would like to keep that particular color for a long time. Me being the person I am, I need a temporary because I'm so indecisive when it comes to me making a decision and sticking with it.
