So, I am always changing my hair. I dye it quite often, and recently I cut 8 inches off just on a whim, and I love it. Normally, I dye it many different colors and I always know what I want to do with it, but these past few months, all I have done it keep it natural with dying it back to my original dark brown.
But I'm tired of it being so plain and usually I have no problem coming up with ideas for a new style, but I've hit a road block. I don't know what to do. If you guys could possibly help me out with this it would be appreciated. I'm looking to get my hair done within the next few days and needs ideas. Pictures are requested just so I get the jist of what you are talking about. Much thanks. This is what my hair looks like now: This one shows the current color of my hair. ![]() This one shows the current cut, even though I may cut it a bit more. ![]() I was looking at these two colorings. I've done the redish stuff before, and I liked it a lot but I'm not sure if I want to go back to that. ![]() This is something else that I really liked, and am really thinking about getting but am still on the fence about.

Hello mandaleigh0221 and WELCOME to the forum!!!!
Please accept my apologies. I did not realize it had been 3 days already since you posted and by now wonder if you've given up and gone on to get your hair done. Plus, I also hope that someone else will chime in here with their own experiences, advice or pics. Certainly people get tired of hearing from just me! For what it's worth, I just want to tell you how awesome you are with your drive to strive for something different. Same old, same old does get boring doesn't it? Yet going back to your old color is a refreshing change too after all the other experiences. I LOVE the cool colors of blue and purple accented with a little white. It was like having feathers in your hair yet so artfully done with professionalism and design through the cut as well!!! That is an option! And you look good in the raspberry too! I really like the dark on you and think that black right now is hot. Taking this on and accenting it with the blue and hot pink is awesome, yet perhaps you want a different cut this time and I think that other combinations like lilac and bright green would be fun too. Should you go for the red, stay on the darker side of the electric shades as anything dark (especially black) looks phenomenal against creamy complexions like yours! Besides, when we get older and our skin loses its elasticity and wrinkles, dark hair looks horrible as it accentuates those less than desirable features so enjoy the black and dark shades now while you can! As for a different cut, I just stumbled across this razor cut Kirsten Storms that's great for summer and can picture it on you (NOT BLONDE LIKE THIS YET like above with the black and the brilliant accent colors). And where the accent shades hit, they could be on the same side as the part, (the lighter side) feathering around your ear. Or you could go longer on the heavier side and do the same thing. Razored hair down the sides is very slimming too and we all like that! LET ME KNOW! Clients like you keep stylists interested in hair design!

I actually did just get my hair done two days ago, and I did the blue, purple, and white. Some of the blue ran off into the white in the rinse but she said it would come out after a few washings.. But I love the color it turned out to be so I may have her go back over the white with the cobalt or icy blue.
The colors go down the heavier side of my part but I also have some on the ligher side, and some through out the rest of my hair as well. I cut it the day before with the same woman, and I told her just to have fun and do whatever she wanted, I said the same when she dyed it. I philosophy is, it's hair and it will grow back so I'm not too worried how it turns out. But I had heard many good things about the woman so I knew I was in good hands. Anyways, back to the cut, she cut it almost like the picture you have above, but slightly longer by maybe a half an inch or so. It's shorter in the back and angled toward the front. Overall, I am ecstatic about the way it turned out! It was completely worth putting the money in to do it, and I'm happy I did. I'm contemplating adding more colors to it, but I'm not sure quite what I want. Do you have any other suggestions? |
