Good dye

I am curious as to what the best overall home dying product is. I'm looking for something where the color is vibrant, doesn't dry out the hair, and losts a good amount of time. Any brand suggestions?

I would say how long do you want it to last. I think vegetable dyes stay longer but can they be as glossy as chemical dyes? I would say the battle is half won in the conditioning.
