Default Frizzy hair

As you can tell by my username I have frizzy hair. I have a short hairstyle. I have to dry my hair out "straight" to get some control. I usually will wash my hair every other day because it is such a pain washing and blow drying on a daily basis. I have used that Frizz Ease and it has helped but what other things could I be doing to help with the frizz?

Is your hair fine? Is it frizz or could it be fly aways? The new growth in my hair tends to fly away, causing it to look like frizz. If I use a leave in conditioner, it tends to help.

Hello Frizzy, and Welcome to the forum!!! I do hope that someone here helps you out as I'm sure they will.

I too would like to know if your hair is fine. My other questions are: do you have naturally curly hair and how curly is it? And do you have (and keep up with trimming) split ends? Split ends will tangle your hair all day long. Keeping them trimmed off will get rid of tangling immediately.

Yet, perhaps you keep this maintenance up and there is another source for your contention. Let me know and we'll see what we can do!
Oh, and "alien" is right. Leave-in conditioner can be a lifesaver!

On that note that leave in conditioner can be a life-saver, which is the best in your opinion? I have always been scared to use them. I thought they would end up giving my hair a very oily or greasy look.

I do have very fine hair. It's curly, kind of the wiry sort if you know what I mean. I do go every six weeks and get a trim. Maybe I need to do the leave-in conditioner more often. I usually will have the gal who cuts my hair do it then.

I can't really decide if my hair is fine or thick. Sometimes I think it is fine and othertimes it seems thick to me. My hair gets frizzy at times too. I think the weather is a huge factor as well. Sometimes where I live it gets really humid. I haven't found too many products that work. I try switching off shampoos often. If I use one shampoo for too long my hair gets dry and dull.

My hair is naturally wavy so I always have to blow it dry. For the first couple of hours it stays really pretty and sleak. After a while it either goes super flat or really frizzy. What is a product I could use to help with this?

For a lighter effect that won't weigh down and go flat, use a good mousse . As for the frizziness, the ends need to be sprayed to protect from heat. A lot of people here on forum like the Thermasilk line of products. You really need the protection if you blow dry your hair a lot.

Use it lightly and only on the ends.

I would use a good mousse or styling gel. I know quite a few people that have curly hair and as soon as the humidity level goes up there hair gets more frizzy. The have to use gel just to keep it in place. Don't use too much otherwise you will have that wet sticky look.
