Default Stylists gone bad

I think we all have gotten or know someone who has gotten a bad stylist at least once before.

My boyfriend once went for a cut that the woman described as relatively short, but with enough hair in the front to do that flippy thing. When she was done, his head was entirely shaved... and she charged $20 for it.

What's your story?

My husband and I went together to get our haircut. We were seated at the same time. His stylist took longer to cut his hair than mine did. I was done and had to wait on him. My stylist should have taken longer to cut my hair as later I found obvious missed chunks of hair that were way too long. My husband's hair looked rather nice though.

The one and only time I had my hair dyed professionally, she not only messed up the dye, but the cut as well. The dye I didn't notice until I got home, but she missed quite a few spots. I had to go back to get it fixed the next day (for free, of course).

As far as the cut went, I didn't know what was wrong with my hair, except that it was misbehaving very badly. When I went to get a trim the next time, I found out that my hair was too fine for a razor, which is what the girl used. It's been 6 months and my hair is finally growing out of the mess she made of it.

The problem is that too many people use getting their hair cut and styled as some kind of lifestyle accessory instead of a real service. So people that really only need their hair cut every 8 weeks get it snipped every 2 weeks to have 45 mnutes chatting.

I always say only get the name of stylists from people you want to look like.

My husband's regular stylist was out of town so he went ahead and had someone else cut it. This gal screwed up cutting around his ear - it was not a smooth line, it was jagged looking. So, she tried to correct it and cut a little bit higher and my God it looked worse. She tried to even it out on the other side and it got worse and worse as the cut went on. My husband was not a happy camper and eventually did not pay for the haircut. He has NEVER had anyone else cut his hair since then.
