I have seen some really crazy hairstyles on little kids like under 4 and think what are their parents thinking? I know this lady who has really short hair and she spikes it up well her 2 daughters insist that they have theirs done that way too. She has to literally wash their hair twice a day because of all the product that has to be put in it to make it spike up. Is this a little ridiculous of is it just me? My daughter is 2 1/2 and has little bangs and then a little bob cut that turns under by itself, really cute (of course she is my daughter lol) but the whole ton of product and washing all the time seems a little strange to me. How old are your kids and what style do they have their hair? I ask the age because I am just curious if they are old enough to make their own decisions on how their hair is cut or not.

I think that long hair on little girls is ok if it is taken care of. I see some that have long hair but it is messy and unkept. Until they are old enough to take care of it themselves it is easier to keep it a little shorter. On little boys I like clean cut and short. I am not crazy about longer hair on boys or men for that matter.

I don't have any kids, but when I was younger, my parents kept my hair long... really long. They loved it that way, and my mom loved to wash it and comb it out and braid it... I think she lived vicariously through my hair

My 5 year old daughter has really long hair. She likes me to french braid ponytails in her slightly damp hair at night and then in the morning....va va va voom. She loves it like that.

My daughter has short hair. If I don't keep it short it gets snarly real easy and it always looks unkempt because of her natural waves. I have seen younger kids with mohawks and I can't imagine parents sending them to school that way. Oh well, to each his own.

I think by the time a kid is eight to ten years old they can decide how they want their hair. I think a hairstyle looking good just depends on the looks of the child. That sounds bad, but just like adults, styles may look better on some kids than others.
