Default make your own accessories

Ok I have had it with the lame stuff they sell in the stores. i went into my big Macy's but they totally phased out their hair and scarf department. All the stuff i ever see is so ugly.

So I am going to design custom prints and cover headbands and sell them on Ebay. So there!

I can remember when we used to wear the scrunchies around our wrists if they weren't in our hair because it looked cool. I agree that the quality and quanity has definitely gone down concerning hair accessories. I think it is a great idea that you are going to make your own. Good Luck.

The problem that I have with some of my daughter's accessories is that they are so darn expensive!! A simple headband with a bow on it for $10???? I can make it myself for a lot cheaper but then again I hardly have the time to do it. Good luck braids4ever.

It seems harder to find cute accessories. I haven't bought a headband in forever because I can never find a style I like at the store. I'm not good at creating what I want. I just know it when I see it.

Good luck to you. Ebay is a great marketplace.

My sister makes hair accessories for girls and she sells them at local craft fairs. She buys the cheap headbands at the dollar store and then "dresses them up". It's really very simple, although I could never make them look as nice as she does. I guess she inherited the crafy gene and not me.

Yes let us see it when you are done. I have long hair and never want to ruin my best silk scarves by wrapping them around my scalp. Just make sure the teeth don't bite and the bands don't hug too tight. Pain is bad.

I plan on doing this for a project in our brownie troop! You can buy just the plain plastic headband for real cheap. It is amazing what a little hot glue and gems can do!

Has anyone seen the scrunchies they make for little girls that have ribbon that comes off of them. It is hard to describe, but they are so cute. My neices where them. They are really poofy and adorable. My daughter is young, but hopefully I can find some in a couple of years.
