I have read on the the bottle of aloe vera that I have that it can be used to style your hair. I have never tried it. Would it work almost the same as mousse or hair gel? Has anybody ever used aloe vera in their hair before? Do you put it on when it is wet or dry? Sounded a bit scary to me so I never tried it.

I would think that it would help aid dryness in hair, because that is what it does for skin. I haven't tried it before, but I don't think it would work the way gel does... although I'm probably wrong!

Do you mean the aloe vera that you would put on sunburnt skin? I wonder if that would work. I've got a whole big tube of it that hardly has been used. I bought it right before we went to Mexico, anticipating the "burn". LOL

Yes the kind that you use for burns. I have a bottle in my bathroom for exactly that; sunburns. On the bottle it says something about using it on your hair but I had no idea how to use it on my hair so I thought this would be a good place to ask. I am to chicken to try it out myself so I thought if someone else had tried it they could share it with us.

Aloe vera would probably work considering it is sticky. I use it when I get sunburns in the summer. I am irish and burn easy so I always have aloe vera around. Plus it smells good so using it to style with would be a good idea if it works.
