A friend of mine just got extensions and they look really good. If I didn't know her and didn't know she didn't have long hair I would think it was her natural hair. Can someone explain the process of getting extensions put in? Does it take a long time, does it hurt, how do they get them in your hair, does your hair have to be a certain length to be able to do it, how long can they be left in for? As you can see I have no idea about them but am curious about them. Thanks in advance for all the answers

How long do you plan to keep them in? What kind of stress do you plan to put on your hair?
Extensions always make me think of Christina Aguilera and her long extensions she used to have. They wrecked her hair and people were saying for a while her hair was going to fall out. Shaking your head and dancing will drag your scalp. For events, like ne night, the worry is less. Extensions ae generally woven and braided to attached segments of hair underneath the main hair, like below the crown where overlying hair covers it up. There started out being ways people could make their head of hair look fuller by adding a long back layer, like their overall hair was a shag. But people overdo it and break down their scalp strength and health. If I was in the public eye, or had a special event, or a photo opportunity, or even a club night, go for it. But why look like a **** star? |
