Cost of a haircut

I live in a small town and haircuts aren't that expensive, I don't think. But I have lived in a city and the price of haircuts was outrageous. I usually pay between $15-20 for my cuts. I know it depends on where you live and what kind of salon you go to but I think this is cheap. But when I lived in the city it was between $40-50 just to get a cut. What is the most expensive haircut you have had? Just a cut no highlights, no perm just a cut.

Where I live now it cost between $15. and 25 dollars, but when I lived in a bigger city, it would cost anywhere from $30. up to $150. for a good haircut. It is crazy how the prices fluctuate, isn't it?

I see some of those shows on tv about hair salons and some of the haircuts cost like $200 plus. That is crazy. Why are haircuts so expensive? I understand that if you want a really good cut sometimes you have to pay a little more but this seems nuts. I remember once when I was dating this guy I had him cut my hair just for fun and it was absolutely great. And it was free. hehe. I don't get it cut that often. I should really treat myself more often though.
