Take a look at the hair. Spare, combed straight. Can this be the new hair? it would be quite a change from the "big hair" seasons of late. |

You bring up a good point. A lot of the club kid fashions feature artfully messed up or independent looking haircuts. The 80's stuff needed more spare hair. But a lot of women are walking around with a ton of hair.
If the 80's punk thing continues, they must mean to use the cut up hair because i didn't see a lot of put up hair at fashionweek. I would say they used spare hair here to feature the impact of the color. This was Diane Von Furstenberg, i doubt she would do anything extreme with hair. her focus would be on the fashion. |

The model's face is the clue. That is a very angular chin and bones. A lot of curls would look weird and jokish, like the Jermey Edwards or heatherette shows.
This is relaxed, but to be taken seriously. (read, more accessible for older women) |
