Default Medium, Thick, kinda curly

Here's the deal, I have medium thick hair which likes to curl a bit at the back and at the sides, right now it probably goes a little farther than my nose and the hair in the back touches my back. I'm looking for a style that is easy to work with (comb it after a shower, ect). I like my hair but i want to do somethign diffrent with it, that doesnt need too much work. Right now it just has a bsic cut, nothing special...something a barber would do for $10. If anyone has any suggestions and maybe a picture that would be great, i plan to get my hair doen in about 2 weeks.

Default How to style

Hello springer260 and welcome to our humble forum!

I want to give you the best possible advice that I can and if there is anyone else out there with ideas, please help us out. We love to hear from you! Sometimes it takes having the same kind of hair to help another.

You say the front of your hair comes just past your nose? and the back touches your shoulders? Tell me one) is is layered now? Two) do you mind layered cuts at all, especially if they are barely layered and three) how do you feel about a body perm??

Will check back here for your answers.

No, it is not layered, and I wouldnt mind it if it was. My girlfirends hair is layered and I like how it looks. I have no idea what a "Body perm" is so i can't answere that question.

I just want it too look nicer without the upkeep for other styles which I could do. It sounds liek a layered cut would be a good idea to "Fix Up" my hair. Right now it kind alooks like a dead animal on my head, lol.

Default Layered Cuts

Well guys do all kinds of things to their hair and sometimes a little body on longer hair helps to keep it looking good even when it might otherwise look like it needs combing.

Anyway, I think you just need some layering. Keeping the maintenance upkeep keeps your cut in shape and therefore, your style stays in place so you don't have to worry about it behaving for you from day to day. And you don't have to get it layered very short either. Tell them you don't want the shortest layer to be any shorter than the hair at ear length. Unless of course you want it all shorter, that's up to you.
