To answer you quickly.
Vitamins A, C, D & E.
All play their part in skin (or bone) cell regeneration, protection, etc. If you want a more detailed answer, let me know and when I can, I'll post about each vitamin.
Lots of factors can cause hair loss though. Genetics and hormones are two hard things to avoid or fight. That's why many visit their doctors.
As for the hat. The occasional wearing of a hat is okay. However, any guy that wears (like a ballcap) a hat everyday is asking for hair loss, yes. It keeps the skin on the scalp from breathing. Worn too tightly, it reduces the proper blood flow. I know we do it to prevent sunburn outdoors and that's wonderful, just wear ones that are more loose and
take them off when you really don't need one. A good source of Vitamin D is the sun, however, in limited amounts.
Drink lots of water! It helps your metabolism which is needed for skin regeneration and growth and that's where the hair follicle is located. Brushing your hair for scalp massage is great, just don't irritate your skin by overdoing it. And any massage to keep the blood flowing.
Hope this helps!
