Hi all,
I'm trying to find a 1960s bob hairstyle that starts out black and fades into a hotpink. I need to find a picture of this to send to someone since I wasn't allowed to take a picture of the wig in the store, and the store doesn't have a website. Also, did people wear these types of colors in the 60s? I'm trying to put together a costume for a dancehall hostess in "Sweet Charity." Is this an accurate hair do or is the pink too much? Thanks! Hey Suzanne!
WELCOME!!! Not many gals had any type of pink hair in the 1960's, though it was not unheard of. We're talking about the rebellious sixties with all it's psychadellic tendancies. Honestly, it likely started as an accident. Kool Aid was always a good way to change your hair. However, it really didn't show up too well unless your hair was already a light blonde. The lighter, the better. At any rate, I think you will find this site to be interesting. Wigs Best of luck!!!
