Default Need Hairstyle Advice

What's up dudes? I'm new here and I see that you guys give excellent advices regarding hairstyles so I decided to give it a try. I really do not know how to communicate well with my hairstylist so advice on that matter would be great too.
These are my pics in different angles:

I have wide forehead and high hairline. >.<
I was thinking of these hairstyles:

or

Do you think this would look good on me? As far as I can I try to avoid using hair products, except shampoo of course but if needed I am open to using one. XD
Inputs would be greatly appreciated and if you have other suggestions please include pictures if possible because I do not know technical words in hair cutting. And I tend to shy away talking to my hair stylist so I will just probably bring a pic with me. =.=

Default FACE SHAPE LINK

Hello wapak!
Welcome and thank you for your questions!

The first thing we need to determine is your face shape. The hair on your forehead covers it up and keeps me from seeing exactly your face shape.

Face shapes

The Chace Crawford style is not going to be ideal for you and the Gaspard Ulliel look is somewhat better as the top of the hair's layering covers yet has some movement, lift and lightens in opposition of the heavy fringe you currently have.

The only other thing you need to consider is to keep hair tame and close to the head along the sides of the forehead, yet maybe let it grow a little so that some unruliness ensues along the chin, by having the hair around the ears cut short while letting the back of the style stick out and give some filler when looking at you from the front.

No matter though as you obviously have it covered up because it's a little wide or high, etc. I am "guessing" you have an inverted triangle shape and can understand why you have all that fringe.

However, with it being too heavy and thick it is actually drawing more attention to that area than you want or need. PLUS, having a narrow chin line, it would be better to have something fill it in somewhat while lightening up the top all giving it more balance.

It is always difficult for me to find just the right pictures of what cut I am seeing. Somehow, I visualize a custom look for situations like this. I am picturing an emo style that is long on top with texture razored layering. The ears are shorter to keep the line across the cheeks as narrow as possible, yet they are trendy choppy around the ears themselves. The layering in the back is very long and only along the bottom done with a razor so it feathers out from behind the ears to help fill in your chin line.

These pictures are guidelines, though not really a perfect choice independently.

Pic one a little too long, though you might like it!

pic two perhaps a little too long around the ears and both of these show fringe broken up in the middle which is good and helps keep from focusing on the forehead with too much fringe

pic three This has no fringe of which you do need at least some, however, the back is perfectly what I was picturing.

pic four This would be perfect, except I would put some choppy lines around the ears and that would make that area shorter. Hopefully by now, you are getting the idea of what I am trying to find.

I am about to show this pic to someone else who wants a short hairstyle, and though it's not what I would typically advise for you, you may not want any long hair.

Well I hope this helps. You may want to copy and paste these pics to one sheet of paper to take to your stylist, maybe along with the paragraph where I wrote what I pictured for you and WHY. It's all about your face shape. Cover yet not overemphasize the forehead and do something to help fill out your chin.

Good luck!!! Let me know! Oh and btw, do not be concerned about the chin line that I keep referring to. When you get older, you will be so very happy you have it as age will help it fill out more and while the rest of us have too thick a chin line, yours will be perfect! :-D

I think your right about my face shape. Here's a pic:

I tried searching the hairstyle you have in mind and found this one which I think is exactly what you are picturing except for his fringe.

where I think I can just replace his fringe with the fringe of your suggestion here:

What do you think?

About the chin line, actually I was trying to find a way to solve it since I think it is too much bloated especially in side view. Though, thanks for your info that I got a little bit more confident with it and hopefully I won't look at it as a problem anymore. XD

That pic you found is PERFECT! yes, except for the fringe. It can be a bit too choppy for some tastes. Replacing it with the other fringe would be great and you can take both pics when you go get your hair cut and say.."this is the look I want to start working on". Until your hair grows out in the back, whatever "TRIM" you get can be done with the potential style in mind.

As for view from the side, the longer hair in back will still distract from that.

Keep your confidence! We all have to keep our bodies in mind for everything that's in fashion when we decide things whether it's a hairstyle or the latest outfit!

Thank you very much for this wonderful advice! I'll put up a picture once I get it done though It might take another week because I am still waiting for the blemishes on my chin line to disappear. =.=

Can you please elaborate this, ''Until your hair grows out in the back, whatever "TRIM" you get can be done with the potential style in mind."? I don't get it that much. XD

BTW, how should the hair in the back go? Should it be sidewards or forward? And what things and techniques should I do/use to achieve the overall hairstyle that you suggested? Sorry for tons of questions, it's just that I'm really clueless in styling cause I don't mind it that much before.

I am referring to all your haircuts now will be a trim because there isn't much needing to be cut off, just needs to be cut in this precise way. "until it grows out in the back" means until your layers grow out a little more. With longer layers, you will be able to blow it dry blowing it towards the front to get that sticking out look. You might need product to help it stay...like hairwax. You would only need a teeny, tiny bit on the ends. When you first dry it and fix it, the hair may stick straight off, but will quickly fall because of gravity to look just like this guy's.

Your hair is almost long enough to get "trimmed" into this style.

Hope this explains it better!

Yes, that explanation is perfect. Thank you very much again! I will post a pic when I get it done. Gonna buy a blow dryer when I get this cut done.

Just wondering if I can go for another fringe style other than the one you suggested. If I can, what other options do you think I have? Thanks!
I think I prefer a style that would make me look more mature and manly, sophisticated if there is such thing. XD
