I have been using volumizing mousse and I either use a medium large round brush at the roots or I dry most of the way upside down. I can't dry the whole say upside down because I get too bored. Sometimes I use my fat hot rollers and sometimes I use my velcro rollers. My hair will look great after I do it, but it doesn't last. Then I end up pulling it back because I don't like it hanging in my face.
Try spraying hairspray on the hair next to scalp and allow to completely dry before removing the velcro rollers. Style your hair as you like. However, use a pick to break up the hair sprayed area just enough to soften and blend but not to completely destroy the strength.

Just something else to try.

Default I also have thin hair

What I do is blow dry my hair upside down with a large round brush. When I want to freshen my hair up during the day I bend over and back up a few times after brushing it and it usually fluffs back up. I have a friend that gets body waves and it gives her hair body. It hasn't worked on my but she layers her hair and keeps it shorter than me.

What a great idea! I've been spraying root lift spray on the rollers next to the scalp but probably not leaving the rollers in long enough after that. I either blow dry or air dry and I think my hair's dry before I unroll. Next time I'll use a pick like you said and then I'll spray to set.

I don't really know what else you can do, but mine seems to work by drying the last half upside down after using root lifter, then using the really huge rollers.

OK. I like this. So blow-dry most of the way, then spray my roots with my root lifter, flip over and finish blow-drying upside down, then roll in my big velcro rollers? I think I can do this.

I'll have to try all these methods to see what holds the longest. Thanks!
