I have a cowlick on the left side of my head right where my natural part is. It's so hard to style around. What is the best way to style around a cowlick or make it behave?

Crissy,
Cowlicks are where hair is growing in the opposite direction out of the scalp then the rest of the hair, simply put. There isn't a way to make it behave short of working with it and not fighting against it. I mean if you want your hair to go left and it wants to go right, then you need to find a style you like where all your hair, in this case on the top; goes right. Or else you will drive yourself crazy fighting with it everyday. I know it's not what you wanted to hear for I would imagine it is disappointing to walk away from hairstyles you love yet would work well with your cowlick. And consider moving your part if necessary. Best of luck!!

LOL! I swear the cowlick is right over a bump on my head. It's too far back to get in the clip when I pull the front of my hair back so it just looks funny. It doesn't really bug me any other time. I guess I have learned to live with it after all.

I just posted a way to tame a cowlick, I use that way to style my hair every day. Try it, it works. If I would have saw this thread, I would have posted it here.

Thanks topsyturvy! I'll go look for your thread. Don't worry about not having seen my thread first. Now yours will stand out more.
