This product comes in a little silver circle and has a light gum consistency with silver gold sparkles. a ver little blotted on the fingertips provides piecey hold and shine. God for a quick comb through for messed up hair.
Or put some on hair (very little) and run the brush through it to the ends. run a little on palms, then touch at the roots for serious lift. This product is ideal, later in the day clients can lift their hair at the roots and it will stay. |

Sounds great... would this be a good product for the chunky, messy hair look? Would it work on semi-long hair for lifting at the roots, or would the weight of the hair weigh it down? My hair is so... blah. I'm looking for something to give it a little va-va-voom.

ths is a good voomer without getting icky.
screw open the can, it's like the shape of shoe polish with shiny glittery gloss inside. Just touch your fingers tips lightly, then brush through temps and over forehead at the roots hair. This is not like gel or spray, no concrete. But if you have medium to long hair that gets weighed down, use this on the hair inside the volume at the roots. work fingers through roots then turn hair flipped over other way. The shine picks up light and heavier use would get it "muddy". |

That's good to know! I have always wanted to use a balm in my hair for styling, but was afaid to because it may cause my hair to feel greasy. I get the frizzies when the weather gets humid, it sounds like it will help control the frizzies too!

Hair balm. Is it real thick and sticky? Is it anything like mud? Years ago there was a girl I worked with whose hair I envied. She told me she used this mud or putty or something and how to use it so I went and bought it. Then the folks at the beauty supply place told me how to use it too. I don't know what I did, but instead of looking like I had a ton of hair, I just looked like I had dirty hair. I've been afraid of anything in that kind of container since. LOL!

This is not sticky. It is shea butter mostly with glitter mixed in but very fine silicate. A little on the finger tips ( a very small amount you would not beleive) an work a full head of hair.
Hair looks better under light, behaves, looks better conditioned, absolute flyaway down, Sally Hershberger used in in a MTV beach house makeover.

Tihs sounds like a great product. I always try out any John Freida products that I find. I love most of them. I first tried JOhn Freida simply because my name is Freida & my husband's name is John, but I really love these products.

This is really a pro's product for photo shoots. it lasts a long time that little container. Citre shine makes a comparable product but it more gooey and melts into a gel in the heat.
John Frieda hooked up with heiress Avery Howe and her hair was always this cheerleader overblown lions mane. Then she started showing up to social events with glossy, precision hair. True story! Last edited by veronica; 09-21-2006 at 12:10 AM. |
