My mother used to use some kind of dry shampoo when we were sick because she didn't think you were supposed to get your hair wet if you were sick. I don;t remember the name either, but you sprayed it in and brushed it out. I hated it because it looked like we had dandruff afterwards.

Not if you don't put too much. I'm a brunette and have never had a problem with it.

I have used baby powder for years. I have also used alcohol. But I wonder if the alcohol is doing more damage than good.


My mother showed my sister and I how to use both. The alcohol is best pored onto a washcloth. Then you run the washcloth over your hair. It does get rid of the oily spots.
