I'm afraid I have to disgaree with you WendyB. Sanjaya is a nice kid, but he's definitely not the star of the show. He is entertaining but I think that he really overstayed.

You hit the nail right on the head. The guy comes across as sincere, nice, friendly, and not afraid to get attention, but he wasn't the star this season. It was a really bad joke...and I think it almost wrecked Idol, if I might say so.

Interesting how he used hair as his attention magnet.

I agree with you...Sanjaya is a really nice boy, and if he polishes his singing he might be good in the future. However, he was kept on AI mainly as a running joke, which didn't really help the credibility of the show much.

Oh THIS one ! I love this hairstyle.

The reason I agree with Wendy B is because Sanjaya had more personality than any of the rest of the contestants. The show really did go downhill after he left even if he was not the best singer. This just really wasn't a good season to me and with him gone I lost interest. Back to the subject at hand: I think he has beautiful hair (cept that awful mohawk) and he was 100% the hairstyle star of the show ! !

OT: Yeah, last Season wasn't so good. Blake and Chris are both cute...but they were a bit boring. Now, Season 5 was something else... Chris Daughtry, Katharine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, Ace Young, Paris Bennett and even Kellie were all stars.

I have never liked the mohawk style. Even on the Mohawk Indians. Years ago, my nephew wanted to get a mohawk. His mother told him he could get one when he was 18. As she suspected, he had outgrown the idea long before his 18th birthday.


And even knowing Sanjaya was going for the shock effect, I'm thinking he could have found a better style.
