Jennifer Lopez at the Diamond Monkey Club Launch

June 30, 2007Jennifer Lopez at the Diamond Monkey Club Launch
With her hair arched up and over, Jennifer Lopez takes on a retro, 1940's look, though her curls are little longer than the styles of that era. Today's vertical ringlets are nothing new to the hair fashion world. They are simply a resurrection of many cultures; from decades, even centuries gone by.
When small sections are placed in your iron, you will obviously have a more curly style. Likewise, the more you pick and separate introduced curls, the curlier the style will be, such as this full look on Jennifer Lopez.

A darker shade of color begins at the scalp area and gradually lightens as it descends on this style of Jennifer Lopez. Her long hair, full of golds as well as red, has simply been 'rolled back' onto itself with the use of an extra large barrel curling iron; then arranged here on her shoulders.

A small headband set deeply into the dense mane of Jennifer Lopez, gives way to the waterfall of hair down her back that ends with large, loose ringlets. Such a look produces a mock ponytail affect. Hair pulled back shows off a lovely face and has all the makings of an updo. Despite the application of an upstyle in the front, the back allows Jennifer to have all the 'swinging' beauty of a down style.

Where do we draw the line between loose curls and waves? Sometimes what starts off as ringlets relaxes to nothing more than S-curls. The trick here is to not brush or comb hair allowing for a more natural look. Jennifer Lopez looks fabulous in this style.

This hot, new look of Jennifer Lopez is ultra chic. The cut of her hair gives a whole new meaning to the 'layered look'.
With fashion, it is all about the latest, preferably never done before, look. In the matter of layered haircuts, they have been taken into many different angles and even at different lengths from the ears to either a longer or shorter length in the back for short hairstyles.. Razor cuts give a graduated affect not as precise as scissors and hair fashion of late has brought out some rather choppy yet funky layers. This "tiered" layer cut is bold and quite ultra-modern. Best worn on coarse hair that has been lifted at the roots and blown out, yet straightened. That said, Jennifer definitely wears it well. Here, Jennifer Lopez demonstrates a Catwalk Queen updo that will surely turn you into a 'Prom Queen'.
I have had the good fortune to have seen a few, actual 'basket weave' hair styles before. Sections appear to weave in and out in contrasting color on Ms. Lopez' head. It's difficult to determine in this photo, however, it almost appears that this 'weave' is in a very large bow shape. Without a good, clear shot of the back of Jennifer's hairstyle, we can only use our imaginations to paint a picture of its exact symmetry. However, as one can imagine, a unique, basket weave type would definitely make it 'a night to remember'. |
