Here's a style that works for both medium and medium-long hair. Though Reese Witherspoon was featured earlier this year in this very look, it is one that has stood the test of time. This is not a hairstyle exclusive for 2006. It has been seen since the '60's and 70's as the styles became more and more carefree. This picture must have been taken during the fashion of subtle lip color and the increase of eye make-up intensity. To further bring out the beauty of Reese Witherspoon's lovely face, her hair has been brushed up and back off it giving lift. Sections appeared to have been pulled then strategically placed back within the style for design and sake of trends. Likely pinned in perfect workmanship in the back with free falling strands curled into ringlets as can be noted on her left side.

Reese has been slowly getting away from her ultra-golden blonde to that of darker tones. With several different shades ranging from a medium blonde to light brown, Reese has quite an interesting menagerie of colors.
This could be a slow transition to introduce a brunette shade. At least the stage has been set. Light shades of chocolate would look great on Reese as her tones can handle quite a spectrum of them. The "Legally Blonde" Reese Witherspoon has been given award after award this new year for her latest role in "Walk the Line" and has received another well deserved one at this latest event. This SAG honor was given for 'Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role' and I agree she was just that as June Carter. With the exception of this most recent ceremony, she has arrived with the same hair fashion, having all her golden hair brushed straight back and fastened in a simple updo. Plain, yet elegant. I won't dispute that this lovely actress has looked radiant each time. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards which aired this past Sunday evening, January 29th, 2006, she again had her hair brushed straight back with the slight variation that while the front was up in the same manner, the back was left down. This was then apparently curled, or 'flipped up' with an extra large curling iron barrel or rollers.
Since we have all seen her in this same updo mentioned above even in previous years, it would appear Ms. Witherspoon may be locked into a 'gimme the usual' style for her formal affairs. No matter. Whatever color, style or girl-next-door character, when this rising star hits the red carpet, she shines beautifully! Make no mistake about it, Ms. Witherspoon is a very attractive, talented actress who deserves every award she has received. Her charm and beauty speak for themselves and perhaps that is why her stylist must feel she needs only to accentuate the lovely actress' face.
